Punthill Apartments are looking for exceptional staff to grow with us as we open our brand new building,servicing 130 rooms, in August 2016. This Melbourne hotel is a fantastic place to work; with many of the city's top attractions, restaurants and public transport options within easy reach.

As a Guest Services agent, you are constantly looking for ways to enhance the guest experience. Being the communications heart of the hotel, Front Office and Guest Services positions offer each candidate the opportunity to communicate on a daily basis with all departments of the business, increasing the candidate’s exposure to the full property operation.We have a number of positions available ranging from 20 hours p/w through to 35hours p/w.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring an efficient reception experience forGuests, including check in/out, and complete audit procedures as required
  • Ensuring that Managers are kept fully aware ofany relevant feedback from guests and, or, other departments
  • Achieving positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel room categories,room rates, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Responding to guest emails, walk-ins & last minute bookings
  • Liaising with housekeeping staff to maintain efficient coordination of services
  • Compliance with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Acting in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems

Skills that will be highly regarded for this position include:

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills·Demonstrating a high level of customer service at all times
  • ·Excellent grooming standards
  • Previous experience in cash handling
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Competent level of computer proficiency
  • Experience with hotel reservation systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours (spanning a 7 day rotating roster)
  • Extensive knowledge of the Melbourne CBDhospitality, Public Transport systems and Tourist hotspots.
  • An ability to communicate in multiple languages is highly desired but not essential.
