We are on the hunt for a passionate duty manager!

A bit about Chans:

Lucky Chans is a late night Restaurant and Bar! we open until 1am on week nights and 2am on weekends, we serve up the best Asian fusion food around and offer a unique Guest experience. We change our food and beverage menu's seasonally to keep things fresh and funky.

We are in our third year of business and Chans has become a staple in Perth! We are looking to keep moving forward and continually have pop ups at the major food festivals and are looking to expand in the future.

We believe in structure and organisation here at Chans and as such we have weekly management meetings, daily briefings, set training manuals, comprehensive checks. This is a great place to take that next step in your career.

We have a close team of full time Hospo Pro's here, meaning were more like a family! The team is awesome and welcomes everyone with open arms into our Chanfam.

  • As Duty Manager you will play a big part in the development of this team and the direction the restaurant takes. Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the team and venue
  • Menu development along side upper management
  • Education of the team regarding new and existing products
  • Running of midweek shifts in the capacity of Duty Manager
  • Controlling labour costs and COG's
  • Liaising with the Kitchen management team to ensure quality and consistency

What we need:

  • At least 1 years experience in a similar high volume environment
  • A good working knowledge food and beverage operations
  • The ability to follow financial budgets and plans
  • A passion for good booze and food
  • An good knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits.
  • The ability to teach and train new and existing staff
  • The ability to learn new management & service techniques
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as reporting to the General manager
  • Commitment to the role and your team
