OzHarvest's Gourmet Restaurant To Feed 1,0000 Vulnerable Guests

The culinary talent of Australia’s best chefs will come together under one roof on Monday 19th March at OzHarvest’s CEO CookOff™, plating up five-star dishes for some of Sydney’s most vulnerable. What should be Sydney’s most expensive restaurant – with a combined total of 50 Chef Hats – will be free for one night only, exclusive to special guests who rely on food relief throughout the year.

The flagship fundraising event turns the tables on fine dining, inviting top bosses and corporate teams to cook and serve a gourmet feast to feed more than a thousand people from charity agencies across Sydney, who receive food rescued from OzHarvest.

OzHarvest Founder and CEO, Ronni Kahn says the life-changing event has an incredible impact on everyone involved and hopes to raise $2million, providing four million meals to feed people in need. “We are incredibly lucky to work with so many talented chefs, who donate their precious time to create over fifty gourmet meals, all made with love for such important guests. The face of hunger is diverse and over 3 million people in Australia experience food insecurity each year, this event allows the business world to address a serious issue which often goes unseen,” Ronni said.

The stellar cast of 50 includes chefs from leading restaurants, TV personalities and MasterChef winners, including: Matt Moran, Colin Fassnidge, Peter Gilmore, Danielle Alvarez, Josh Niland, Christine Manfield, Jacqui Challinor, Julie Goodwin and Miguel Maestre.
